AWS Testing For Qualification

If you are already a welder and only need to obtain your AWS Qualification, our testing service is designed specifically for you. Swaby Academy offers formal AWS weld testing in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, with performance qualification available in welding positions 1‑G through 4‑G. Successful completion results in an official AWS Qualification for the exact welding process and position tested.

Each test candidate will receive a practice plate prior to the actual test. This allows you to warm up, verify settings, and ensure readiness. Once the practice plate is completed, you will be issued the official test plate for your weld test. After completion, the test plate is submitted to our Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for full evaluation, including both visual inspection and bend testing.

We provide testing services by appointment. The cost for each weld tests includes testing coupons, testing fee, and consumables. There are no additional material fees.
